Die engtec GmbH ist im Rahmen des dreijährigen Forschungsprojekt "AquaSan" Teil eines Konsortiums, bestehend aus vier KMU‘s, Institut für Textil- und Faserforschung, technischen Hochschule und drei Wasserwerken. Die Aufgabe der engtec GmbH in diesem umwelt- und gesellschaftsrelevanten Projekt liegt im Teilvorhaben „Design + Konstruktion“. Projektdauer vom 01.01.2026 - 31.12.2028
Allgemeiner Hintergrund:
PFAS sind extrem langlebige Chemikalien, auch forever chemicals genannt, die durch Industrie und Alltagsprodukte in das Grund- und Trinkwasser gelangen und dort kaum abgebaut werden. Sie können sich in Menschen und Umwelt anreichern und stehen im Verdacht, gesundheitliche Schäden wie Krebs, Hormonstörungen und Immunschwäche zu verursachen.

In 2024, engtec GmbH was given the task by the Wilo Group of developing an automated ceiling wardrobe (Weisskaue - model from the mining industry) in Dortmund and of technically managing it until the system was installed.
